Remix

Love a game? Remix it.

Make it harder. Make it yours. Beat the original. Every remix credits the game it came from and the person who made it.

One tap from a game

Any remixable game has a Remix button. Tap a suggestion such as “More levels,” “Harder or easier,” “Power-ups,” “New look,” or “Surprise me,” or describe your own change.

Credit is built in

Every remix says “Based on X by @handle.” Remixes form a family tree. The original maker is part of the story, not a footnote you can delete.

A trophy if players love yours more

A remix that gets more organic likes than its original, at least 3, earns “More loved than the original.”

Creators choose

Remixing is on by default for new games. A creator can switch to “Remix privately” or “No remixes” at any time. You can remix a game only when its creator allows it. Most can, because that is the default.

Edit in your own tools

Signed-in players can take a remixable game’s files, change them in any tool, and upload them again. A hidden PLAY signature keeps the remix credited, and the original creator is notified.

Create also offers remix starting points: games matched to your idea, “Proven to remix well,” “Popular to remix,” “Popular remixes,” and search. You can play any of them full screen before you pick. Signed-in players can remix with AI too. Every new account starts with $2 of free AI credit. The credit line, the family tree, and the Remix button are live.

Coming soon

“Remix, publish, and sell” with a royalty needs payments, so it is not usable yet. Creator earnings are coming. There is no revenue share to quote today.

Questions

Can people remix my game?

By default, yes, with credit to you on every remix. You can switch to “Remix privately” or “No remixes” at any time.

Can I remix any game?

Only games whose creators allow remixing. Most can, since that is the default.

Who gets the credit?

The original game and its creator, on every remix. If players love your version more, you can earn the trophy. They still see who made the original.
