Players
Tap a game and play.
Hundreds of games. Zero downloads. Keyboard games, playable on your phone. No account needed to start.
One tap, no account
A game starts the moment you tap it. There is no launcher and no sign-up to play. The loading screen shows real progress in MB. If you sign up later, guest progress moves to your account.
A play view you can swipe
Games open full screen with a short “How to play” card over the running game, so you are playing while you read. Swipe up or down, or press Shift+N and Shift+P, for the next or previous game. The PLAY menu holds Pause, Restart, Touch controls, Game details, and Report.
Computer, iPhone, and Android
On a phone, keyboard games get an on-screen touch pad. A finger works as the mouse, including drag-and-drop card and puzzle games. A long press is a right click. The game is framed to fit the screen. Games that truly need a locked mouse are labelled “Made for a computer.”
A controller, if you have one
The stick and D-pad move. A, B, X, and Y act. Start is Enter. Every game gets Pause, and full screen works, including on iPhone.
How you find a game
Home shelves include For you, Trending, Staff picks, New to PLAY, Quick plays, Great on your phone, Best on desktop, and Continue playing. There is also a shelf per genre, plus From creators you follow.
Curated channels include PLAY, PLAY Picks, PLAY Arcade, PLAY Puzzle, PLAY Indie, PLAY Retro, PLAY Labs, and curator channels. Search finds games and creators. Creator pages live at playsmorgi.com/@handle.
The catalog is about 360 open-source games: puzzle, strategy, arcade, and more. Each one is credited to its original project and license. A “% enjoyed” badge shows what other players liked. Likes, follows, notifications, and Recently played keep track of games you care about. Share uses the phone share sheet, or copies a link.
On iPhone you can add PLAY to your Home Screen and keep it one tap away. That is still the browser. There is no separate phone app.
Games that use the PLAY SDK can offer cloud saves, achievements, and leaderboards. You can invite friends to a lobby. Real-time multiplayer is not in the SDK yet.
Questions
Is PLAY free?
Yes. Every game on PLAY today is free to play.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Games run in your web browser. There is no app and no launcher. The browser still loads the game’s files. It just does not install anything, and it does not work offline.
Do I need an account?
Not to play. An account (email sign-in, no password) lets you like games, follow creators, keep your history, and save progress across devices. You need to be 13 or older to make an account.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes, on iPhone and Android. PLAY adds touch controls to games built for a keyboard or mouse. A few games that need a locked mouse pointer are marked “Made for a computer.”
Is it safe?
Every game runs in its own sealed space on a separate domain, so it cannot reach your PLAY account or other games. Every game can be reported. Mature games ask you to confirm you are 18 or older. Sign-up asks for a birth year, and under-13s cannot sign up.
