What it is

A QR code message board on the thing you scanned

Scan any QR or barcode on something near you. You get a Wawl: a public board tied to that code and, for most QR codes, to the ~174 m place you scanned it. Later scanners of the same code see the same wall.

sQRawl sits on QRowd for code identity, first-scanner primacy, and safety classification.

How it works

Scan a QR, post a message, keep the wall

1. Point the camera at a code

   The sQanneR looks at a QR or barcode on something near you. Camera frames stay on this iPhone. They are not uploaded.

2. Read what people left

   A Wawl opens on that code. For most QR scans it also sits on the place you stood. Retail barcodes usually travel with the product, not the aisle.

3. sQRawl text while you are still there

   You can sQRawl (post) text while you are still on the spot — about 30 minutes and about 200 m. Photos and video wait for a human.

4. Your feed remembers Wawls you visited

   Come back later on this device. Create an account if you want that history to follow you.

Who it’s for

QR code graffiti on a sticker — not Snap Map

For people who want a mark on a real object or place: stickers, shop windows, posters, product boxes, event signs. A local QR community on the thing in front of you. Not a citywide social network. Not Snap Map. Not a barcode scanner social feed for the whole aisle.

First-party codes

Printable QR codes for shops

From You, generate first-party codes for stickers and campaigns. Each code gets its own Wawl when first scanned on-site. The first scanner is the QlaimeR for that code — they do not own the wall, but they are first.
