Most processing is on-device. Cloud AI is off until you turn it on. We do not run ads. We do not sell personal data. We do not ship a third-party analytics SDK.

There is no password login. The app registers the device. Identifiers are a device ID and a Cognito user id.

On-device vs cloud
Most processing is on-device. Photos stay on the iPhone unless you attach them in Dispatch. Then only extracted OCR text may go to cloud AI. Images are not uploaded for search.
Cloud AI (Anthropic Claude, via our AWS API) receives only the content needed for that request, and only when Cloud AI is on. We instruct Anthropic not to store it for training.
Brave Search receives the search query. Queries are quota-metered per registered device and user. They are not anonymous in that sense.
Amazon Web Services (us-east-1) stores device registration, subscription status, usage counters, and — if you use cloud chat — conversation payloads needed to operate the service.

SMS is not collected in version 1. We do not offer texting Artiglio in this release.
Keyboard
The optional Artiglio Keyboard uses Full Access only for App Group context. It is not a keystroke log. Passwords, one-time codes, and cards are never captured. Keystrokes are not sent to our servers unless you enable “share keyboard context with cloud.”
Notifications and alarms
Push uses APNs. AlarmKit alarms can break through Silent Mode and Focus. That is how Apple designed AlarmKit. Allow notifications only if you want that.
Health
HealthKit is read-only and optional. Artiglio is not a medical device. It does not diagnose or treat any condition.
What we do not do
- No ads

- No tracking across other companies’ apps or websites
California CCPA: we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context advertising.
Children
Artiglio is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
Retention and deletion
We keep account and service data until you delete the account, or as needed to operate Pro and prevent abuse. After a delete request we purge within 30 days.
Delete in the app: Settings → Delete Account. Or email hello@smorgiapps.com with the subject Artiglio Account Deletion.
